Developed and designed by a highly skilled engineering team using Solidworks CAD, the fully CNC-machined aluminium turbo inlet adaptor and high-flow silicone hose deliver proven performance gains. One of the weak points of the i30N and Veloster N intake system is the restrictive aluminium inlet pipe, which becomes insufficient on Stage 1 and Stage 2 tuned vehicles. With Forge Motorsport hardware on your tuned Hyundai, you simply can’t go wrong – the results speak for themselves.
When paired with the 4" intake system and FMINDK28 performance air filter, the turbo inlet adaptor alone provides a gain of up to 10 BHP, along with increased torque, resulting in a noticeably improved driving experience. The additional power is felt from around 3,000 RPM, maintaining a strong, consistent pull all the way to the rev limiter.
Designed similarly to a traditional velocity stack, it directs air more efficiently into the turbocharger and, thanks to its increased capacity, allows more air to be drawn in and compressed.
Testing was carried out on an independent Maha dyno, manufactured by the same company that supplies BMW M Sport and Mercedes-Benz with their engine calibration and performance testing equipment.
The Forge turbo inlet adaptor and high-flow hose offer over 150% greater capacity than the OEM item. This not only improves performance but also adds a subtle enhancement to engine acoustics, highlighting the car’s sporty character.
Compatibility with other intakes:
- Yes – the product is compatible with other aftermarket intake systems featuring a 102 mm (4”) inlet pipe, but it will not fit the OEM airbox.
